Carmelita se autodenominan como “tu banda de perdedores favorita” y llegan desde su base en Madrid para aumentar tu adrenalina gracias a su enérgico power pop. Suenan a Japandroids , Beach Slang o The Replacements y acaban de estrenar su primer single, “We used to be like those kids”, el primer corte de su EP debut.

Producido por Brian Hunt en los estudios El Invernadero, la canción trata “sobre vergüenza y nostalgia que mira tanto hacia dentro como hacia fuera, para retratar escenas de desasosiego y soledad cotidiana a la vez que se refugia en memorias que recuerdan a tiempos más simples. Sus raíces están inequívocamente ancladas en el folk, con capas de relucientes acordes acústicos que cubren crujientes guitarras eléctricas y una contundente sección rítmica que no titubea”. Suena así.
