Hoy estarás leyendo esto desde casa, quizá el confinamiento comience a hacer mella en tu moral, pero la música siempre volverá para salvarte. En esta ocasión St Woods será el encargado de hacerte viajar mentalmente a través de su nuevo single, «A Part From God«, que hoy estrena en un vídeo junto a Nadia de Santiago. La obra está dirigida por Inés Pintor y Pablo Santidrián, cuenta con la fotografía de Ángel Amorós y está producida por La Breve Historia.
El segundo single del primer disco del artista madrileño de indie-folk llega tras «On Me«, vídeo en el que colaboraban Anna Castillo y Greta Fernández. En este segundo adelanto, las reminiscencias a Bon Iver continúan intactas y nos hacen esperar grandes cosas de su álbum debut, que se publicará el próximo 8 de mayo.
Tal como apunta la nota de prensa, «el vídeo habla de la pérdida desde las diferentes fases de «el duelo», vividas desde la confrontación del simbolismo religioso y el dolor que no querer creer en nada«. El propio St Woods lo describe así:
«Apenas unos meses antes de entrar a grabar, en mi familia perdimos a dos personas muy muy cercanas a nosotros y fue algo que afectó mucho a todo el proceso de grabación del disco. Son letras muy viscerales y llenas de referencias directas a momentos exactos en los que ya no podía más».
